This policy is published by Cornelius Marius Goodall ("we", "us", "our"), an independent software developer based in South Africa. It covers every application we publish, past and future, including:

When you visit our website, our hosting provider logs standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) for security and to keep the site running.
We also use Yandex Metrika, a web analytics service, to understand which pages are useful. Yandex Metrika may set cookies and process your IP address, referring page, approximate location, device and browser information, and how you move through the site. See Yandex's privacy policy.
Some pages carry advertising slots loaded inside iframes. Those ad networks may use cookies or similar identifiers for frequency capping, measurement and fraud prevention; their own privacy policies govern that data.
We do not run Google Analytics, a Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking script.
Purchases of our software are completed through third-party checkout providers, never on our own servers:
We never see, receive or store your card number, CVV, bank details or billing address. We receive only what is necessary to deliver your licence and support you: an email address, an order reference, and the product purchased.
VELOCE AI IDM is licensed software. When you activate or re-check a licence, the application contacts our licence server (hosted on Supabase) and sends:
The licence server stores the licence key, that hardware hash, an activation flag and the buyer email address supplied by the checkout provider. It does not receive your download history, file names, downloaded URLs, browsing activity, or any file stored on your device. If the licence server cannot be reached, the app falls back to a locally cached licence so you are not locked out.
Our Android apps have no licence or account system at all.
Everything the desktop app does happens on your computer. It does not contain analytics, telemetry or usage tracking, and it does not report which websites you visit or which files you download.
The app checks for newer versions by requesting the latest release information from our public GitHub repository. That request contains no personal information beyond what any web request carries (such as your IP address).
Downloaded files are saved where you choose on your own disk. If you stay offline, the app still works and simply skips the update check.
VELOCE AI for Android is a download manager with a built-in browser. Files you download are written to your device's storage. We do not collect, store or transmit the contents of those files, the file names, or the addresses you download from.
The app needs internet access to download files and to load ads. The app shows ads through Google AdMob, as described in section 8.
Invoice Vault is a home-screen launcher with a private vault. What it stores, stays on your phone:
There is no account and no cloud sync. Nothing you hide, vault or unlock is uploaded to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the app removes this data from your device.
Permissions and why they are needed:
The in-app purchase that removes ads is processed by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation that a purchase exists, tied to the purchase token supplied by Google — not your name, card or address.
Our Android apps are supported by advertising served by Google AdMob. To serve, measure and protect ads, Google and its ad partners may process:
This data is handled under Google's own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and Google's Privacy Policy. Where the law requires it, we show a consent request before personalised ads are served.
You are always in control of this identifier on your device: in Android settings you can reset your advertising ID or delete it (Android 12 and newer, under Privacy → Ads). Deleting it means ads can no longer use it. In apps where we offer a purchase that removes ads, buying it stops ad requests altogether.
We do not receive your advertising ID ourselves. We see only aggregate performance figures, such as how many times an ad was shown or estimated revenue.
Our apps are general-purpose tools aimed at adults and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact support@veloceidm.com and we will delete it.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the products work:
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of users.
Licence records (licence key, hardware hash, buyer email, activation state) are kept while the licence is valid so you can reinstall and reactivate, and afterwards only as long as we need them for support, accounting and legal records. Website analytics data is retained according to Yandex Metrika's own retention settings. Data that only ever lived on your own device is under your control — uninstalling the app removes it.
Data sent to our licence server travels over HTTPS. Licence data is stored in an access-restricted database. On your device, secrets such as your vault PIN are stored in encrypted form and are never transmitted. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to the minimum needed to run the products.
Our service providers are located in several countries, including the United States and the European Union. Where personal data is transferred internationally, it is protected by those providers' contractual safeguards.
You may ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email support@veloceidm.com with the subject line "Data request" and we will respond within 30 days. Because we hold very little, most requests resolve to a licence record and an email address.
Where you are in South Africa, these rights are granted by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Where you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, they are granted by the GDPR and UK GDPR, and you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
If we change how we handle data, we update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be noted in the release notes of the affected app.
